Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Callixe (referred to below as the "Site", "we", "us" or "our") gathers, uses and shares your personal information when you browse callixepillows.com, use our services, place an order, or contact us in connection with the Site (together, the "Services"). Wherever this policy says "you" or "your", it means you as a user of the Services — whether you're a customer, a visitor, or any other individual whose information we've collected under this policy.
We encourage you to read it in full.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised from time to time, for example when our practices change or when operational, legal or regulatory reasons require it. Any revised version will be published on the Site with a new "Last updated" date, along with any additional steps the law requires of us.
How We Collect and Use Your Information
In order to run the Services, we collect — and have collected during the past 12 months — personal information about you from the sources described below. Exactly what we collect and how we use it depends on the way you interact with us.
Beyond the specific uses set out further down, we may use the information we hold to communicate with you, to deliver and improve the Services, to meet our legal obligations, to enforce our terms of service, and to protect or defend the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users and others.
What Information We Collect
The categories of personal information we obtain depend on how you use the Site and the Services. When we refer to "personal information", we mean information that identifies you, relates to you, describes you, or can reasonably be linked to you.
Information you give us directly
- Contact details — your name, address, phone number and email address.
- Order details — name, billing address, shipping address, payment confirmation, email address and phone number.
- Account details — username, password, security questions and other data used to keep your account secure.
- Shopping activity — the products you view, what you add to your cart, anything saved to your account such as loyalty points, reviews, referrals or gift cards, and your completed purchases.
- Customer support content — whatever you choose to include when you write to us, for instance through a message sent via the Services.
Certain features may only work if you supply some of this information. You're free not to provide it, but that may prevent you from accessing those features.
Information collected about your usage
We may also record certain information automatically about how you interact with the Services ("Usage Data"), using cookies, pixels and comparable technologies (together, "Cookies"). Usage Data can include details about your device and browser, your network connection, your IP address, and how you move through the Site and your account.
Information from third parties
Finally, some information reaches us through third parties, including vendors and service providers who collect data on our behalf:
- Companies that help power the Site and the Services, such as Shopify.
- Our payment processors, who handle payment data (bank account, credit or debit card details, billing address) so we can take payment, fulfil your order and provide the products you requested — in other words, to perform our contract with you.
- We, and third parties we work with, may automatically gather information through online tracking technologies such as pixels, web beacons, software development kits, third-party libraries and cookies when you visit the Site, open or click our emails, or interact with our Services or ads.
Anything we receive from third parties is handled in line with this policy. See also the section on third-party sites and links below.
Why We Use Your Information
- Delivering products and services. We use your information to provide the Services and perform our contract with you: processing payments, fulfilling orders, sending notifications about your account, purchases, returns, exchanges and other transactions, creating and managing your account, arranging shipping, and handling returns and exchanges. We may also improve your shopping experience by allowing Shopify to connect your account with other Shopify services you choose to use — in which case Shopify processes your information according to its own privacy documentation.
- Marketing and advertising. Your information may be used for promotional purposes, such as sending marketing messages by email, text message or post, and showing you ads for products and services. This can include tailoring the Services and the advertising you see on our Site and elsewhere. For visitors in the EEA, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in selling our products, under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
- Security and fraud prevention. We use your information to detect, investigate and act on possible fraudulent, unlawful or malicious activity. If you register an account, keeping your credentials safe is your responsibility — never share your username, password or access details with anyone, and contact us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised. For EEA visitors, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure for you and other customers, under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
- Communication and improvement. We use your information to offer customer support and to make the Services better. This rests on our legitimate interest in being responsive, providing an effective service and maintaining our relationship with you, under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Cookies
Like most online stores, we use Cookies. Details of the Cookies associated with running a store on Shopify are set out in Shopify's own cookie documentation. We rely on Cookies to operate and improve the Site and the Services (including remembering your preferences and actions) and to run analytics that help us understand how the Services are used — in our legitimate interest in administering, improving and optimising them. Third parties and service providers may also be permitted to set Cookies on our Site so that products, services and advertising can be better tailored, both here and on other websites.
Most browsers accept Cookies automatically, but you can adjust your browser settings to block or delete them. Bear in mind that doing so can degrade your experience and may cause parts of the Services to malfunction or become unavailable. Blocking Cookies may also not fully prevent information from being shared with third parties such as our advertising partners.
Our website recognises the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which lets you opt out of certain uses and disclosures of your information. If you send us that preference through GPC, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sharing and targeted advertising for the browser or device in question, and where we can match that device to a store account, we apply the opt-out to the account as well. Apart from GPC, we do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals your browser or device may send.
How We Share Your Information
In some situations we may disclose your personal information to third parties in order to fulfil a contract, for other legitimate purposes, and for the reasons covered by this policy. These may include:
- Vendors and other third parties performing services on our behalf — IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfilment and shipping.
- Business and marketing partners, Shopify included, so that services can be provided and advertising delivered to you. For instance, we use Shopify to support personalised advertising through third-party services. These partners use your information according to their own privacy notices.
- Third parties you ask, direct or consent to receive certain information — for example when products need to be shipped to you, or when you use social media widgets or login integrations.
- Our affiliates or others within our corporate group, in our legitimate interest in running the business successfully.
- In connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or insolvency; to comply with legal obligations (including responses to subpoenas, search warrants and similar requests); to enforce our terms of service; and to protect or defend the Services, our rights and the rights of our users or others.
Over the past 12 months we have disclosed the following categories of personal information about users for the purposes described in "How We Collect and Use Your Information" and this section:
| Category | Categories of recipients |
|---|---|
|
|
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information without your consent, nor to infer characteristics about you.
With your consent, we share personal information for advertising and marketing activities. Over the preceding 12 months we have "sold" and "shared" personal information — as those terms are defined by applicable law — for advertising and marketing purposes as follows:
| Category of personal information | Categories of recipients |
|---|---|
| Identifiers such as name, email address and phone number | Business and marketing partners |
| Commercial information such as records of products or services purchased | Business and marketing partners |
| Usage Data | Business and marketing partners |
User-Generated Content
The Services may let you publish product reviews and other content. Anything you submit to a public area of the Services becomes visible and accessible to anyone.
We have no control over who sees the information you choose to make public, and we cannot guarantee that people with access to it will respect your privacy or keep it secure. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of information you make publicly available, nor for the accuracy, use or misuse of information you disclose or receive from third parties.
Third-Party Sites and Links
Our Site may point to websites or platforms run by third parties. If you follow a link to a site we neither control nor are affiliated with, we recommend reviewing its privacy and security policies and its terms. We cannot guarantee, and are not responsible for, the privacy or security of those sites, nor for the accuracy, completeness or reliability of the information they publish. Information you post in public or semi-public spaces — including third-party social networks — may also be visible to other users of the Services or of those platforms, without limitation on how we or a third party may use it. Including such links does not by itself imply that we endorse those platforms, their owners or their operators, unless we say so on the Services.
Children's Information
The Services are not designed for children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has given us their personal information, please contact us using the details below to ask for it to be deleted.
As of the effective date of this policy, we have no actual knowledge of "selling" or "sharing" — as defined by applicable law — the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.
Security and Data Retention
No security system is flawless or impossible to breach, and we cannot promise "perfect security". Information you send us may also be exposed while in transit, so we advise against using insecure channels to send us sensitive or confidential material.
How long we keep your personal information depends on several factors: whether we still need it to maintain your account, to deliver the Services, to meet legal obligations, to resolve disputes, or to enforce other applicable contracts and policies.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, some or all of the following rights may apply to your personal information. These rights aren't absolute, may only apply in specific circumstances, and in some cases we may decline a request where the law permits.
- Access / right to know — you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, including how we use and share it.
- Deletion — you may ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — you may ask us to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Portability — you may request a copy of your personal information and, in certain circumstances and with certain exceptions, ask us to transfer it to a third party.
- Opting out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising — you may instruct us not to "sell" or "share" your personal information, or to stop processing it for what applicable privacy law defines as "targeted advertising". If you visit the Site with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we will — depending on your location — automatically treat that as an opt-out request for the device and browser you're using.
- Restriction of processing — you may ask us to stop or limit our processing of your personal information.
- Withdrawing consent — where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it.
- Appeal — if we decline your request, you may appeal that decision by replying directly to our refusal.
- Communication preferences — we may send you promotional emails, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails. Even after opting out, we may still send non-promotional messages about your account or your orders.
You can exercise these rights where indicated on the Site, or by writing to us using the contact details below.
We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to collect information — such as your email address or account details — to verify your identity before giving a substantive response. Where the law allows, you may appoint an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf; before we accept it, the agent must show proof of your authorisation and we may need to verify your identity with you directly. We respond to requests within the timeframes set out by applicable law.
We use Shopify advertising services, such as Shopify Audiences, to help personalise the ads you see on third-party websites. Shopify provides a dedicated privacy portal where you can opt out of personalised advertising through the third-party services it supports; you may also contact us and we'll point you to it.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, contact us using the details below. If our response doesn't satisfy you, depending on where you live you may be able to appeal our decision by writing to us again, or lodge your complaint with your local data protection authority. Within the EEA, a list of the competent supervisory authorities is published by the European Data Protection Board.
International Users
Your personal information may be transferred to, stored in and processed outside the country where you live, including by our staff and by third-party service providers and partners located in those countries.
Where we transfer personal information out of Europe, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or the equivalent contracts issued by the competent UK authority, unless the destination country has been recognised as providing an adequate level of protection.
